Privacy Policy

This policy describes the ways that personal and anonymous information about our online users and email subscribers is gathered, our information sharing practices, and how you may request changes to the way this information is shared.

Browsing our Site

We do not collect personal information, such as your email address, when you browse our CD\Works or related web sites for information on CD and DVD Duplication or Replication, or any of our many other services. However, when you are on our site we log your IP address to let us know which pages you visit and how long you spend there. We may also know and log from which site you came to us and where you go when you leave but other than that we do not track the web sites that you visit.  This information is analyzed to help us develop our web sites to best meet our customer needs. We do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable, and unless you subscribe or register on our site, we do not know your identity.

Our Use of "Cookies"

CD\Works may use Cookies (small files of data sent to your computer to allow us to recognize you as if you return to the CD\Works site using the same computer and browser) which is a standard technology used by many websites.  This information will be used to save you re-entering information and to help us develop our web sites to best meet our customer needs.     
Personal Information We Collect

We collect personally identifiable information when you or someone else provides it to us, such as when you subscribe to our email newsletter, enter a contest, order online, participate in surveys, or communicate with us some other way.

Correspondence With Us
 
If you send us correspondence, including e-mails and faxes, we keep such information in the records of your account. We keep also correspondence from CD\Works to you.

Internal Uses

We use the information we collect about you to provide you with our services and process your transactions; to provide customer service; and to improve our products and services.

Disclosure to Third Parties

CD\Works will not sell, rent, or otherwise share any of your personal information to third parties except in the limited circumstances described below, or with your express permission.

If the company goes through a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition or a sale of a portion of its assets, customers' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. We will notify you of any changes to the privacy policy as a result of such transaction.
  • We will share customer information with sites where it is necessary to provide order fulfillment or facilitate transactions.
  • We share information with companies that help us process the transactions you request and prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • We disclose information that we in good faith believe is appropriate to cooperate in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to conduct investigations of violations of our Terms of Use.
  • We disclose information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court-appointed receiver or other comparable legal process, including subpoenas from private parties in a civil action.
  • We disclose information to your agent or legal representative (such as the holder of a power of attorney that you grant, or a guardian appointed for you.)

Accessing and Changing Your Information

You can make changes to your information at any time by contacting CD\Works directly.  We make it easy to remove your email address from our subscriber list by having an unsubscribe button on every page.

My Online Order Policies

We use a third party provider to assist us with the online service where you can create CD and DVD discs on your own.  Their policies are listed below.

Secure Online Shopping

Our secure server protects your credit card data using 128-bit encryption. It provides a completely safe way to submit confidential information via the Net. All order information you provide to us and all information contained in your "Account" is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a widely used coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt or scramble data before you send it to us. Transactions will not be permitted if your browser does not accept SSL encryption. Only authorized personnel from our company or its partners can decode this information and such personnel will only do so in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In addition, to attempt to deter the theft of credit card numbers and other personal information residing in our system, we have installed secure "firewalls" and/or have implemented other security measures to help protect our systems against "hacker" break-ins. Additionally, all credit card numbers are encrypted in our system and cannot be read by our employees.

You can tell that your connection is secure when you have an unbroken key or closed lock at the bottom left corner of your browser. Also, the URL address window at the top of your browser will begin with "http" rather than "http" to indicate that you are using a secure server.

Privacy Policy

In order to set up an account, each customer is required to provide us with their name, phone number, email address and a password. Upon placing an order, customers are further required to provide additional personal information including an address, payment information (e.g. credit card number) and shipping information. This information is all used in the normal course of business to contact a customer to verify details about an order and send out the completed order. Additionally, upon placing orders, we will store contact, shipping and credit card information for future use. We do this to improve the customer experience.

We will not provide your name or account information to any third party, except those who need it to help us conduct normal daily business (such as providing a mailing address to UPS) or as stated below. Any content or graphics that you send us for duplication will only be used for that purpose and will never be made available to a third parties or used in any other way except as stated below. Only you will have access to your content and graphics, which will be safely stored in your password-protected account until destroyed. We reserve the rights to all graphics, content and masters that have not been used for duplication orders for more than three months.

We reserve the right to disclose account and personal information we reasonably feel is necessary to protect our systems or business or when we believe such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, to cooperate with an investigation of activities claimed to be unlawful or to protect the rights or property of the company or others.

We may use "cookies" to enhance the customer experience on the website. A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on the customer's computer. We may use cookies to identify non-personally identifiable information about the customer.

User Agreement

As our customer, you must represent and warrant that you own or have permission to use any copyrighted material that you may mail to us or place in your account for the purpose of creating CDs and DVDs, and that you will dispose of copies in accordance with the rights you hold and that your are complying with our policy on intellectual property.

We reserve the right to cancel the service or close accounts that have been inactive for an extended period. We may do so after sending out an email warning to the address associated with the account. We reserve the right to refuse business to any customer that does not comply with our standard terms of operation.
